4th Place  'South of Bourbon, A Black Comedy' by Chris Bouchard   SYNOPSIS - In the midst of tragedy, a down-and-out bartender realizes that he has made the best of purchases, ultimately reclaiming his spirits for the night. (Heat 21)

5th Place  'Branch 323' by James Jackson   SYNOPSIS - A young man volunteers at the local Legion, serving drinks to veterans and their guests. Amongst the laughter and stories of their past, one veteran in particular conveys very valuable life-lessons to the young man in the most unorthodox manner. (Heat 21)
