We are proud to support global charities serving underprivileged
communities, fighting for animal and environmental conservation,
standing up to racial injustice, and on the front lines of the
COVID-19 pandemic. We will be donating two dollars from each entry fee
to charities currently dealing with these issues, and you can choose
where that donation goes on the registration form. The current
charities we are donating to are listed below. If you would like to
recommend a charity for future competitions, please email us at
feedback@nycmidnight.com.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone on the front lines
of these crises!
Thank you to the participants for helping to donate $3,626 to the
charities below! Receipts for each donation are below.
Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP) Global Recovery Fund -
The CDP regularly monitors the status of disasters internationally,
including the global COVID-2019 outbreak, the massive fires in
Australia and in the Amazon rainforest; the Ebola outbreak in the
Democratic Republic of Congo; the far-reaching Venezuelan refugee
crisis; the destructive impacts of Tropical Cyclone Idai; and the
world’s largest humanitarian disaster in Yemen. The CDP Global
Recovery Fund is exclusively for international disasters and allows
donors to earmark contributions to meet specific philanthropic goals
for any global crisis to support medium- to long-term recovery work.
